Shabbat Shalom
Shabbat shalom from the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem. As we read the haftarah and the words, “May you be comforted, my nation,” we are reminded of the importance of rebuilding after destruction. Whether is it Jerusalem, our community or our family, Judaism recognizes the need to mourn and also that there is a time to be comforted and learn to continue living and being in a new way. Shabbat shalom to all.
