In this last portion of the book of Genesis, we experience endings, blessings and death of loved ones. The name of the portion is “and he will live”, a testament that the Torah sees life as a continuous chain of legacy. Our life is not just ours, but part of the greater life of our family, our people and our world. Our soul and memory continues on.
