Chag Purim Sameach

Sometimes the Jewish holidays allow us to reflect more deeply on life. As we wish everyone a Chag Purim Sameach, a happy Purim, we remember that this is the holiday of ונהפכו, turning things around. This photo, of founder David Jacobson’s son, Gabriel dressing up as his mother, Iris’ painting, is a great example of how we can use this idea of turning things around on Purim to get a deeper look on life.
This Purim holiday marks the year anniversary when things really got turned around as a result of the pandemic. Purim reminds us that even when things get mixed up, we can still treat life with joy.
As it says in the megilla:
ליהודים היתה אורה ושמחה וששון ויקר
And the Jews had light, joy and gladness on this day!
