I am very sorry to read of the passing of Anita Varon. She was a neighbor of mine at Hemingway House for many years. We would share stories in the Laundry Room. I regret not reaching out to her, but did not know she had left the building until recently. My condolence to her family and friends.
I know she dearly valued her affiliation with her synagogue.

Anita was always supportive, direct, truthful, thoughtful and patient as a teacher, but she was full of heart, in the best ways, and had the finest sense of right and wrong. As a therapist, she made a big difference in my life, as she did for so many.
My condolences to her family and dear friends.

Anita is the kindest, most generous and most upright person I know. She was able to change many people’s lives through her work and love. She is missed. Her spirit will live on with all the good work she had done.

Lots of love to Anita and her family.

I found Anita Varon to be one of the wisest people I have ever met. She was an absolutely brilliant therapist who was able to make use of her insights in the most gentle way possible. On the other hand, as a therapist she could be very firm in her observations of behavior that were ill advised or inappropriate and I believe her instincts were always spot on. She loved working with the police officers of the CPD because she held their work in such high regard. I personally referred her to a number of police officers who needed someone to talk to and each one of them was grateful for the suggestion. I see the comments of others on this page and I'm so appreciative how Sam, Robert and Stella expressed themselves. I agree wholeheartedly with everything they wrote. I know that she influenced my life in such a positive way that I would only be able to begin to describe. God bless Anita and my condolences to her family and many friends.
