I reconnected with Rachel via Facebook in the last few years. She was as kind and sweet as I remembered. She always had something nice to say. I feel so fortunate I was able to reconnect. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very difficult time. May her memory be a blessing for you.

I have such fond memories of Rachel from our high school years. I was new at a very large school and she befriended me right away. She welcomed me into her circle of friends and into her family. Her warm spirit, openness and kindness stood out - even as a high school student. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time. I am so sorry for the worlds loss of such a generous spirit.
May her memory be a blessing.

I am so sorry to hear about Rachel’s passing. I was the Regional director for BBYO ( Illinois Council/ Region) when Rachel was an active member. I remember how nice she was and how glad I was to have her in the organization. I was glad to reconnect on social media and keep up with her life. She will be missed by many! My thoughts are with her friends and family at this time.

Many years ago, I reconnected with Rachel via Facebook. We met for lunch at Aurelio’s. She was just as sweet as an adult as she was in high school. I will miss her dearly.

I remember the day she was born.. Her mom and I had been friends since our
freshman year at Northwestern. I had followed her career in Tampa until she became ill and had to return. I enjoyed seeing you at lunch with your mother. I will miss our conversations we have had recently. She was always pleasant and upbeat. I regret we never made it to lunch..

Rachel was a special person and we were blessed to know her, The care she gave her parents and friends, the service she provided for people in need marked her as a wise and caring individual. Talking with her always made me feel better about life and whatever was happening in our lives. She will be sorely missed.

Rachel and I met through BBYO. We were the same class year of 1985. For perspective, I was a member and eventually president of the Waukegan chapter. Rachel was always a caring and steady friend. Even though our friendship has sat in time from 40 years ago, my memory of her and the silliness of High School conventions and events with Rachel are still vivid in my mind. I'm in Scottsdale now but we were Facebook friends and I would see something on there about her from time to time. This would take me back to those BBYO days but knowing of her adult life. Her memory will always be a blessing to me.

I am a supervising attorney at CARPLS Legal Aid. Rachel was a long time volunteer with CARPLS. She was reliable, smart, kind. She was a super volunteer - not only at our agency, but at many others. She would never let you know, though. Quiet and unassuming. My world is better for having worked with and known Rachel. My sincere condolences.
