My sincerest condolences to the Preskill Family. My heart goes out to you. I previously mentioned I have so many stories about Gilda. They were truly a romantic couple. I wanted to show you Gilda the year I got married 1961. Her beautiful raven tresses and beautiful black brows and eyes made her so very easy to photograph. And that brilliant smile.
I went with her when she opened up services for opthamology, , optometry and audiology in nursing homes. She was wonderful with the patients.
On June 16th I would take her out to birthday lunches and she demonstrated to me the way to handle Latin American male machismo with panache.
She was vibrant, fun loving and caring for her family and Hispanic friends as well as all those she met in America. A. Bright Star, vivacious, loved to entertain and be entertained.
She and Stu cared more for people and adventures more than material things. Gilda and Stuart opted to go driving through Mexico rather than get a new bedroom set. Our friends quickly became their friends. It’s hard to miss her because I have such lovely memories of her to look back upon.
