Deeply saddened to hear of Don's passing. A true mensch: sweet, talented, caring...and very funny. A wonderful storyteller, always reflecting his joy in living. And handsome! He has been a hero for me ever since I can remember: seeing him (and Mort) in their Navy whites, marveling at the cartoons he drew for me when I was a kid sick with the mumps, hearing my mother exclaim her love for him (and Mort) dating to when she, as a newlywed, lived with Aunt Ida when "the twins" were around 10 years old. His wonderful family, and the terrific love he shared with Doe, are a testament to his true greatness. He has been and will remain a blessing. Very sorry I won't be able to join the family at the funeral tomorrow. From Brooklyn, love, Cousin Howard.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole Stillman family. We grew up in Des Plaines together and have many fine memories. I was so impressed when I saw the statuesque art that Mr. Donald Stillman made and had around the inside of the house. RIP Mr. Stillman and Milkdud Stillman will miss you greatly too.
