Funeral Details

Beloved Beryl "Gaggi" Ruth Balbirer passed away at 84 years old on December 5th, 2023. Beryl was born in Chicago to Hyman and Rose Notarus on October 26th, 1939. She was an artist who lived with deep passion and wrote children's music, taught expressive arts workshops, played piano, wrote poetry and sang songs with the fullest heart. Beryl savored every bite of good food she ate. She was married to Gerald Balbirer, the love of her life, who passed in 2006. She is survived by her two children, Susan Gay and Steven Jay, and five grandchildren, Ryen, Coral, Maya, Lia and Lily. The funeral will be in New Jersey and there will be a shiva on Wednesday, December 13th at 220 Sunset Drive in Libertyville from 4pm to 8pm.
