I was so sorry to learn about the passing of Meir, the last of Yaakov Strahilevitz's descendants. A man of unparalleled kindness, thoughtfulness, and love, Meir was a pillar of strength and connection for his family and his profession.

Together with his beloved wife, Rona, Meir worked tirelessly to maintain ties with the extended family in Israel. Their regular travels to visit the clan exemplified their unwavering dedication to keeping the Strahilevitz legacy alive.

My deepest condolences to the family. May he rest in peace, Ady Milman and the family in Israel

Dod Meir was brilliant and insightful. He gave me good advice that helped me solve problems in my life. He loved his family. He valued meaningful conversations. I hope that his release at the end has brought his soul to a more peaceful place. I love you, Dod Meir.

I pray that comfort, peace and love surround Doda Rona, Michal, Lior, Joanna, Lior and Iris. Even when a passing is expected, there is sadness and grief. I love you all so much. May we remember Meir at his best, when he was so insightful, independent and strong.

Loving you all at this most difficult time and with you in spirit 🙏🏼❤️
So many wonderful memories of Dod Meir from my childhood through the present. Always felt so connected and so much family love ! Dod Meir was always smiling and there was always a deep family connection. I remember him also as being so brilliant and was always amazed with his psychiatric work in schizophrenia and the research he did and patents he worked on. Mostly remember the deep family love with Dod Meir and Doda Rona, Michal, Lior, Joanna, Eli and Iris and the happy and loving times we have shared through the years with Elisha, Rachel , Amalya, David, Franchesca, Joel ❤️ Much love, Aurelia and family 🕊️🙏🏼❤️
May Meir’s memory always be a blessing 🙏🏼❤️ 🕊️

Meir was a dear friend for over fifty years. He was an adventurous person who traveled and explored. He loved company, food, music and good food and wine. (I see that I mentioned food twice.) His warmth, hugs and laughter were always present whenever we were able to be together.

Meir’s funeral yesterday was a truly beautiful and profoundly moving ceremony.
The eulogies were not only heartfelt but also offered a glimpse into his rich, fascinating life and the profound impact he had on those around him. His achievements, both personal and professional, reflected his scientific genius and his kind special character.
May you find comfort in the memories, his extraordinary legacy, and specially the human values he exemplified so beautifully.
With love
Zvi.
