I would like to share 2 very fond memories. Memory 1 - when Jeannie and I were old enough to walk to Deacons alone, Mr. Steinberg would stop us and give her money so that we could buy candy bars. It was a very kind gesture and we loved it!

Memory 2- Tuffy ( the family bulldog) had a rubber ball that he could shoot out of his mouth. One day , Tuffy went on attack mode and began to shoot the ball at me. I ran around the living room screaming. Mr. Steinberg was belly laughing....until Mrs. Steinberg walked into the room. The mood changed. In ihis most serious tone, he told Tuffy to â??stop itâ?, He will be greatly missed.

Like Misty, I spent a lot of time with Jeannie and the Steinbergs when we were young. I remember her dad would drive us around to our activities like ice skating lessons and movies while smoking a cigar and listening to sports on am radio. We could always depend on him to get us where we wanted to go. I know he loved his family, his dog Tuffy and took care of us friends. God bless you Dorothy, Jeannie, and Bart as you mourn his death and celebrate his life.
