Mary Kolodny nee Schwartz, 102.
Beloved wife for 61 years of the late Max Kolodny. Loving mother of Beverly (Dr. Howard Rieger) Siegel and Judy (the late Michael) Meyerhoff and mother-in-law of the late Dr. Gary Siegel. Proud grandmother of Rabbi Adam (Miriam) Siegel, Joshua Siegel, Sunny (Daniel) Levi, Gabriel (Orit), Siegel, Johanna (Aaron) Wertheimer, Samantha Siegel, Rebecca Johnstone and Melissa (Joe) Margason. Proud great grandmother of Ariella (David) Fogelman, Shmuli Siegel, Yoel (Meira) Siegel, Yehuda Siegel, Leora Siegel, Eden (Ysroel) Kumer, Moshe Levi, Gedaliah Levi, Eli Levi, Adira Levi, Sholom Levi, Noa Siegel, Maia Siegel, Avigael Siegel, Shira Siegel, Amitai Siegel, Gilad Siegel, Ayala Siegel, Chana Miriam Siegel, Eliana Wertheimer, Shephard Wertheimer, Netz Siegel, Jake Johnstone, Madison Meyerhoff, Max Margason, the late Violet Margason, and great-great grandmother of Erez and Lavi Fogelman and Benyamin Shamaya Siegel. Dear sister of the late Ida Ross, the late Frank Schwartz, loving aunt, cousin and dear friend to many.
Having lived for the past ten years at Park Plaza Retirement Center, she was known by many as the Queen of Rummykub and renown, except for when she lost unfairly, in her opinion, for her cheerful disposition. As the years of her life increased, she was astonished at her longevity. With a shrug that belied understanding, she loved to share her favorite adage: Every day is a gift, kid.
