Marcia C. Kernes, 89, was the loving mother of Sandy(Michael) Wiener, Karen (Bob) Kenney, Jay (Liz) Cohen, and Alan (Hope) Berkelhamer; cherished grandmother of Jeff (Jamie) Wiener, Adam (Heli) Wiener, Sam (Jasmine) Wiener, Jessica (Matthew) Kenney, Michael Kenney, Vanessa (Dan) Robinson, Hallie Cohen, Abby Cohen, Ben Cohen, Jacob (Carly) Berkelhamer, Liza Berkelhamer, and proud great grandmother of Drew, Gabby, and Noah Wiener. Dear Aunt and Cousin to many.

Marcia was born in Chicago and passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2024 in Glenview, IL. Marcia attended John Marshall High School and worked as a secretary to several businesses in the Chicago suburbs. She volunteered for over 10 years at the Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. Marcia was an avid reader who loved trips to the library and poetry.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at10:00 AM at Makom Solel Lakeside, 1301 Clavey Road, Highland Park, Interment will be at Waldheim cemetery, and Shiva will be held January 2, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Makom Solel Lakeside.
