OBITUARY

Stanley J. Gartenberg

Stanley Gartenberg passed away on September 22 after a remarkable life of 96 years. Stan was the dedicated husband of the late Donna; cherished father of Rob (Bett Barnett) and Michael (Faye); beloved Papa of Jennifer Gartenberg, Jamie (Graham) Conatser, and Cory (Daniel) Koop; and adoring great-grandfather of Hudson, Wyatt, Ruby, Joey, and Gibson.

He will always be remembered as a proud Air Force veteran, avid golfer, and stock market enthusiast who loved a good lunch with friends. Above all, he was a man of great integrity who loved his family fiercely.

Having experienced almost a century of life and many great successes, Stan's greatest source of pride was his family. His sharp wit and gentle wisdom leaves behind a legacy for generations to come.

Gartenberg Family: My sincere condolences on your loss, Stan was such an important part of my husband Vic's life, When Vic's friends all passed away Stan took him into his group where Vic's days were then filled with lunches and friendship. Our Sunday morning brunches were epic, sometimes 13 sometimes 5 or 6 but he always showed up. He also gave me very good tips on the stock market and was thrilled when a stock went up so he would make more money for his grandchildren.
We spent lots of golf days and dinners with Stan and Donna in Florida too. He was very much a part of our lives.
I am so sorry I can'tf be at the service Thursday but gravesite at Shalom brings back too many raw memories and I'm feeling too emotional to attend.
