Beloved father of Herman (Jodie McClevey) Edelson , Jacqueline Edelson and the late Jeffrey M. Edelson. Loving grandfather of Michael (Anna) Edelson, Gregory Edelson, Daniel Edelson, Leah Rabinowitz, Steven Edelson Zackary Gabel and Ashley (Travis) Vine and great-grandfather Bradyn, Tristan, Azalea, Iris, Jocelyn, Theomore and Alexander. Dear brother of the late Dorothy (the late Marvin) Chaiken and the late Lowell (the late Joyce) Edelson. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Son of the late Herman and late Anna Edelson.

For 48 years, he was a distinguished nursing home administrator, planner and developer of nursing and convalescence facilities. A member of the City of Evanston Medicare Committee, becoming the administrator of the first nursing home to be approved to accept Medicare patients at Three Oaks Nursing Home, Evanston. Member of Chicago Lodge AF&AM 437, Valley of Chicago Scottish Rite, Medinah Temple, Korean War Air Force Veteran. A fellow of The Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Association. Developer of Winston Manor, Rogers Park Manor, and DuPage Convalescence Home. Youngest precinct captain in the State of Illinois of the 31st Ward, Chicago.

Service Wednesday, 10 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Rd.) Skokie. Interment Westlawn.
