When I was a child, my sister and I who were closest in age to Dalia, would visit the Lavi home. We were invited to Shabbat dinners, Roberta read to us from Lord of the Rings. For most of my life Roberta often provided an empathetic ear, expressing interest and advice for whatever was going on in my life at the time. Always a caring, loving support. I loved walking by her house and hearing her husband, Gidon, singing, practicing for shul…so much that I asked him to sing at my wedding. I have only fond memories of my time with the Lavis. Their memory is always a blessing to me and may it be for their family as well.

My name is Rochel Waldman. My maiden name was Zukowsky. We had a carpool with the Lavi's for a year or so. (We lived on Monticello)
I remember Mrs. Lavi Bringing me home with the carpool from Arie Crown. (Before the school moved to Skokie). She always had a smile, and a good word for everyone. ( I think Dalia was in second grade at the time, I was in 5th or 6th grade).
May your Dear Mom be a Meilitz Yosher for her Dear Children, Grandchildren, and all Klal Yisroel.
