Susan was one of my bestest friends. She was my city mouse sister and I was her country mouse sister. We would always say we were sisters from another Mother. I was blessed to have meet her and went on vacation together and was privileged to come and visit her in Chicago. The love we had for each other will never end. I will remember her until we meet again. I mailed her a box of bourbon balls a couple or 3 months ago and never her from her and have tried to message and call. But never got a response. My heart is broken. Hugs Love and Prayers

I loved this woman, it was a honor to call her friend.
We met when we lived down the street from each other when are children were young. We shared many fun times together. Sue made me laugh , we encouraged each other. We lost touch when we both moved away but reconnected when I was visiting my daughter in Schaumburg and stopped at the Jewel I turned down an aisle and there was Sue. We’ always both said it was a God thing. He knew we needed each other. We were able to get right back in our love for each other. Susan was a very classy lady. I will miss our talks and our special friendship . She called me her angel but she was mine.

Sue was a kind and generous woman always wearing a smile. My children grew up with her boys and they have fond memories playing games in the court. Unable to be there today because our family is together sending off our two grandsons to college, we send our sincerest condolences to her family. The court will miss her presence.

I shared some of the best years of my life living on the court with Sue and raising our boys together. I loved Sue so much and had many marathon phone calls sometimes falling asleep on the phone. We shared our love of animals and our love to laugh. I wish I could rewind life so I could spend more time with her. But I believe I'll see her again because she was pure love and will live in my heart forever.
It was wonderful sharing and hearing the memories and words of Scott and Matt.
Always, Dee

Sue was one of the most positive, kindest people Ive ever met. Always smiling and full of life. Every time I would see her, she would tell me about the first time we met. I was 8 mos old on my mothers hip in the backyard next door. Sue always made smile & laugh. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Sue. Until we meet again. Deepest condolences to the family. Hugs & prayers.

I so appreciated being able to attend cousin Susan's service on Zoom, thank you so much for making it possible. It was a beautiful service. Both Matt and Scott's memories were wonderful and so evocative of their mother, while Connie's poem seemed incredibly apt and thoughtful. The rabbi's description of Susan captured her essence. It was lovely to see Karen and Richard there with you and serving as pallbearers. I can't express how sad I am at our cousin's loss, but I know how much it would have meant to Susan that you all gathered together to remember her today. Thank you for letting me be with you in spirit, representing the family of Lee Doctor.

I am so glad I was able to a part of Susan's service. We assume we will have more time to let people know how special and how important they are to us. Susan's love language was the gift of Affirmation. I just realized that today. She was loved.
