Funeral Details

Dear Steve,Vicki, Bruce, Kiki and Famillies,
We just finished watching the funeral of Artie and want you to know that we send our deepest condolances to you all. I'm sure you know we would have been present if possible. We will always remember Artie's jovial, bubbly personality. And we too, remember his big smile as well. We remember when he lived in his beautiful home in Skokie. We know how difficult it is especially for his sons, but you all have such wonderful memories of Artie to cherish and this will help you through the difficult times ahead. May he rest in peace. Greetings Stevie n Vicki n Bruce n Kiki n Ryan n Sean-Alice too- please accept my somber condolence with the passing of Artie. I loved him and am better for knowing him. i am still shocked cuz we had a lengthy, profound conversation on new year's day when he returned my calls. MAX-THE MAC! he'd bellow-- ARTORO! i'd heartily reply- same as always. i lit a candle for three and am still following him in prayer. we talked about our lives, fates and families, love of plants and botanical experiences and our 25 plus year dedication to "the morning sitting" as i call it; looks like meditation to an outsider, and we spoke just as intimately of our experiences with that daily intent and practice. we always had a soulful affinity attuned to each other. Max, he said, "i wish we had houses down the street from each other, or like the Mids. (shared suite C'dale 71) we'd have a great time" . I agreed and we left it there .Happy.Restored. Looking up. i remember him saying -enough is as good as a feast- AND- everyone writes the book on themselves, max, all we have to do is read it- verified by time itself as i saw - anyway, i'll honor his memory always , mostly, I am glad for what we had- peace and blessings and harmony to each of you- max
