So sorry to learn of Phil’s passing, one of my favorite Illini. It was truly one of the highlights of my career working for the U of Illinois to connect and work with Beverly and Phil, and to meet Karen, Gayle, Marissa and other special family members over the years. Such fond memories I have of all of you. With much love, I send you my condolences—

My late wife Margaret and I became very close to Beverly and Phil through our membership on the Board of Directors of the University of Illinois Foundation. We shared many dinners and events together.. Phil's death came as a shock to me as we had shared warm greetings with Holiday cards just this December ..My deepest sympathy to the family. I will miss him very much and am saddened he won't be at our upcoming meeting in Sonoma later this month.

Phil was a great one, a true Illini from all aspects: student, athlete, graduate, donor, director and philanthropist. He was the epitome of the values we aspire to. And a role model for me. He will be sorely missed but warmly remembered.
With deepest sympathy,

I had the distinct pleasure and honor to have Phil as a classmate for a number of years in a continuing education class for seniors (OLLI) at Northwestern University. In this respect, I came to deeply respect and admire not only his intellect but his thoughtfulness and kindness in all our discussions. He was a true gentleman and will be sorely missed. May his memory be a blessing.

Phil and I listened for the first 70 mins of the funeral and then we had to board our plane. Phil Goldstick was a wonderful person and we are blessed to having to know him. I was also blessed having to work with him on his office. Both Goldsticks were such lovely and generous people. They will be greatly missed. What a legacy!

Phil and Beverly were two of God's most wonderful gifts to this world. Jane and I were so fortunate to have met them. A few years ago, I told Phil that I was playing baseball in an age 70 and over league in New Mexico and Arizona. The last time I saw him, which was at least two years after I told him about my baseball participation, the first thing he asked me was "How's the baseball going?" I was impressed with his 90+ year old memory. However, the most impressive part was that he genuinely cared, and wanted to hear about my baseball exploits.

Jane and I will miss them both, and send our love and comfort to the Family.

Gale & Caryn. Bonnie and I send our condolences to you and your families. It was an honor to know and have a friendship with Phil. As all speakers at his funeral said, he was the most positive person we have known, a man of integrity and compassion, an excellent athlete, and a superstar networker. Phil and Beverly have left a wonderful legacy for the following generations of the Goldstick family. With deepest sympathy. Ralph & Bonnie

Phil was a role model to me. His picture is up in my office. Whenever I’d feel down, I would just look up at Phil and think about his passion for life, his family, and all his friends.
From the first time I met him, I liked him. Such an engaging presence. Always so positive. Always uplifting to see him, and play golf with him. He was always so gracious to me and my wife, Lucy.

Phil, you were a dear friend and the consummate Illini. You loved everybody you touched. You will be dearly missed.

Deepest condolences to the Phil Goldstick family,

Sincerely, Anthony DiTommaso
