*Email and phone numbers will NOT be displayed online

My deepest condolences to Bill's family. I'm so saddened to hear of his passing. I worked with Bill in the marketing department several years ago at Block and Company. Bill was always so fun and easy to work with. He had a great sense of humor, was always grateful and kind to everyone. He always went out of his way to help. He was one of the good ones and I know he will be missed by so many. God rest his beautiful soul.

We are shocked and so grieved by Bill's passing. We were very blessed to have known Bill through Katie and Nathan, and we're thankful for the brief times that we were able to share together when we were in the Chicago area visiting - he was a wonderful man - obviously a great husband, father, and grandpa. May God rest his soul and shelter him with complete peace.

I was devastated to hear this extremely sad news about my cousin, Bill. I am thinking of you, Ilene, Katie, David and Danny and also Rich, Barbara and your family. It is such a heartbreaking loss for all of you, I have wonderful memories of times together at Sabath’s Dept Store, family get togethers and even visiting Billy at U of I. He always felt like a very caring and empathetic big brother to me. Truly he was one of the kindest guys I ever knew. My girls went to OSRUI with all the Heinrich kids and Jenn is still in touch with Katie and Danny. Shari was extremely helpful when our kids were at OSRUI. The entire Heinrich family hold a special place in my heart and I grieve with you today. Sending love ❤️ and my deepest sympathies to you all. Billy will surely be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Maralee Sabath Wicks

I was so heartbroken to hear of Bill's passing. Mr. Bill, as I called him, was such a light at GlobeSpec where we worked together. He always was happy and helpful and always had his candy jar on his desk for all to enjoy. My condolences and prayers to Bill's family. May your memories bring you comfort.

So sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I worked with him for many years at Quill. He was always such a prankster to his co-workers. He did imitations of many of our co-workers and bosses that always kept us laughing. He was truly an original that all will miss. My condolences and prayers for his entire family.

So sad that in this age of modern miracles, our age-old demons still lurk within us. To me, he's still Richie's little brother Billie, about whom I've no doubt that, as it's said, he'll live on in the many hearts that cherish his memory..

Only one word describes Bill, a true mensch. His love of family and friends was so special. Gail and I have had the pleasure of being friends with Bill going back to Niles East High School and before. Bill and I played baseball at Lincoln Jr High’s sand lot. In high school, Bill setup Gail and I up on a blind date, and we have been together for over 55 years. We have shared good times and bad, and he will be missed.. He was a true friend and always had a silly sense of humor and was always looking for the best deal and way to use his rewards points. We shared special memories with Bill and Ilene such as a dinner at Pequods before it became world famous. Danny and Jeremy both went to the U of Wisconsin, Madison. We shared show time as we watched Jeremy’s theatre debuts. We laughed so hard in the Madison version of “Forever Plaid.”There were weddings, bar mitzvahs, grand kids, and family overlap, as Barbara Heinrich is Gail’s cousin. He will be missed, but holds a special place in our hearts.

My thoughts go out to the Heinrich family. I cannot attend the service but my prayers will be with you during this time. Over the Temple Chai years, we knew each other very well. We bowled and if memory serves me right, Bill was going to do a play for us ( like his brother). He was always there when Men's Club needed something and was a wonderful person. May his memory be for a blessing

Bill will always be Billy to me. That's how I knew him as a child and that's what his grandmother called him in a very stern voice! As first cousins we had a special connection because of our much younger position in the family, something we never let our much older brothers forget! Billy came from wonderful stock and, of course, I was particularly partial to his mother, Harriet, my aunt, a one of a kind, fabulous human being. She certainly knew how to raise great sons. Because we lived so far apart for most of our lives we didn't get to spend as much time together as we would have liked to but each time we did was special. Billy was always kind, warm, interested in what I was up to, forthright with what was going on with him, always spoke with such pride about his family and, to top it off, was damn funny - a very important trait in our family. it's truly unbelievable that my loving cousin is no longer with us. To Ilene, Kaitlin, Danny and David, to his beloved grandchildren Nora and Corrine, to his nephew and nieces our hearts go out to all of you. And to Barbara and Richie, especially Richie, I can only imagine what it's like to lose a brother, even after all this time.
With love,

Dear Ilene, Kaitlin, Daniel, David ,Richie and family. Laura and I and my mother were heartbroken to hear about Billy's passing. We found out late Sunday night and watched the service online. He was such a kind and sweet man. While we unfortunately didn't get to see him very often, on the few occasions we got to speak to him we really enjoyed talking to him. At our grandmother's headstone dedication, I found out that he and Ilene also shared a love of cats, as my family does. I remember him proudly showing us pictures of his beloved cats at the restaurant afterwards. We loved having him as our cousin, as did our late father Kurt . We will miss him and his warm smile.
