GUEST BOOK

We encourage you to share your personal condolences and stories of Bruce Finn below and we will share them with the family.
*Email and phone numbers will NOT be displayed online

I got to know Bruce because my daughter Buffy married his son David. When they got engaged Buffy told me that I went to high school with David’s father Bruce. Very true and a very small world. Bruce was a half year behind me at Sullivan High School in Chicago. We led separate lives after graduating but were joined as family by our children and I was the better for it.
Over the years we have celebrated many mitzvahs and watched the family grow and over the passing years one came to understand what a wonderful person Bruce was. His work with the Ark, his devotion to his Jewish faith, his love for family, especially his nine grandchildren, three of whom we share, and just his selfless giving to others while asking nothing in return defined the man. Bruce was the definitive definition of a Mensch. A human being.
May his memory be a lasting blessing for his family and friends.
With our deepest condolences to the entire Finn family.
With love and respect for a wonderful man.

Ira - I was so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I know he was the North Star for how you want to live your life. I always loved hearing stories about him and how fun and loving he was. I will be thinking about you tomorrow as you and the family say good bye.

Dear Barbara and Family,
Bruce's passing is a loss to all who knew him. He was thoughtful, caring through his philanthropy, and always willing to help others. I had the pleasure of his company when we traveled to Israel to celebrate Elliot's Bar Mitzvah. His love of the land was a joy to see. I also will never forget Bruce gathering Landon, Elliot and Emma together at Elliot's Bar Mitzvah service in Highland Park. Steve had recently died and Bruce explained the Jewish concept that he was there in spirit to celebrate the mitzvah. I was grateful to Bruce for remembering Steve and making him part of the ceremony.
More recently one of the small kindnesses so typical of Bruce was his offer to drive Matt to doctor appointments when he was recuperating from foot surgery. I know I will never forget his thoughtfulness. He will be remembered always with love and affection.
In deepest sympathy,
Sherri

I am so sorry for your loss. I have the best memories of Bruce from all my visits to Chicago. To this day "How about those Pistons" comes to my head and I think of Bruce and Barbara in their home and laugh. He was always so warm, loving and welcoming. I can still hear his voice and his dry humor. He was such a kind soul. He will be missed. Sending all of you my love, thoughts and prayers. I know you are telling great stories of Bruce and laughing. Miss you Dana...Love you. Stacey Davis xoxo
