I was a parent volunteer coach for flag football when Archie and our son were elementary school classmates. I will always remember his excitement and enthusiasm for the game. He drew up his own plays for the team (which I believe we used in a game) and he always wanted to be the center to snap the ball and put the play into motion. He loved being part of all of it. That’s how I’ll remember Archie. What a great kid. May his memory always be a blessing.

I was observing a Japanese class and saw Archie playing Snake on computer while simultaneously joking with his friends and answering a question in Japanese. I asked him how he could do so many things at the same time and he laughed. May Archie's memory be a blessing.

I knew Archie through working as a lifeguard with him at the YMCA, and would see him around at ETHS as well. We started at the Y at around the same time, having taken part in the same training class, and I very quickly saw what a sweet and funny kid he was. His kindness and friendly banter never failed to put a smile on my face, and whether it was during a shift, during our monthly in-services, or just seeing him around on the ETHS campus, it was impossible to be unhappy around him. And even if I wasn’t a close friend, I’ll always remember and love him. My heart goes out to his family, his friends, and everyone else who had the luxury of knowing him.

I remember when I first met Archie, we were playing Fortnite, he was amazing at the game while I was absolutely terrible, but that didn't stop him from inviting me to join him and his friends. Every time I spoke to him he would always bring a smile to my face, he would always have another thing to laugh about, I would have never guessed he'd be the one to leave so soon. Always made me laugh when we were hanging out. During the summer me and him walked home from gymnastics almost every day and he was always a joy to hangout with. He was one of the nicest people I know, and a true friend. I hope you rest in peace and I will miss you man.

I loved learning more about Archie. His memory will always be a blessing to me. I’ll be at the shiva tomorrow. I was so lucky to have been able to work and play alongside him. When Archie would join us for Outside chug this year, he did such a good job at making the games mean something, adding challenge for the learners and making it challenging for the more athletically inclined 6th graders. The one of the last conversations we had was him telling me how excited he was to play the tag game, Infection, with the students. It is always so rare and such a gift when a community member, especially Archie’s age, is enthusiastic and is courageous enough to play and care. He was my go-to translator for when the learners talked about Minecraft, Fortnite+ He allowed so many of the students to follow suit and build their way into the JRC community. I remember him joining us for a nature walk to get out of the building and i had a goal for the students to find a 4leafed clover. He, at first, kept insisting that we weren’t going to find one but the second we found the first one- Archie uplifted that kids so purely everyone’s attitude shift to finding a second one and Archie cheered everyone on and got so invested himself. We found 3 and Archie took pictures of it. I have handfuls of stories of Archie saving my butt when he was my madrich. He was always ready to help and at the end of the day, even when i felt defeated, i always left saying thank god for them. Whenever he was unable to come, i knew it would be a rogue day and the students were always asking Where’s Archie?!?! When Joe said that he was told about how much better he made a space, it’s so true. I keep thinking about the students eyes when Archie would walk in to take the attendance. I started this year really wanting to have him back, but the fire between Archie and Bevvie. They’re siblingship dynamic at Kehillah was iconic and was what i always wished for my older brother and younger sister cause while there was a bit of classic banter between them, the love was palpable. Bevvie’s speech was so beautifully their relationship as i knew it. Your family is one of the most JRC families i know and im hopeful that i can return the welcoming and community yall have given me this past few years as it is and continues to be Quiet Uptown. I could go on and on but i will be seeing you all tomorrow and after. Shalom Chaverim.

I met Archie for the first time in the gymnastics gym getting ready for the first practice, we both showed up as freshmen and were scared to death by the upperclassmen. Eventually, we both warmed up to the team fast and became friends, and we built some of the best memories the team has. That included team bonding experiences such as beach parties and brunches, but also fun moments at the chalk buckets and just being the funny freshman he was. He was very thoughtful and caring, and he could light up any room he walked into with a funny joke or comment, but overall he was just an amazing friend and human being and will be missed. I am beyond sorry for your loss, and I give my sincerest condolences to the whole family.

I was on the boy’s gymnastics team with Archie my freshman year, and we would horse around and joke a lot. He had a rare type of personality— cheeky, hilarious, but also sweet and caring, always conscious of those around him. He also had a kind of positive presence that’s incredibly uncommon in high school. It was always difficult to find someone near Archie Stillwell who wasn’t smiling or laughing.

I haven’t spoken to Archie in many years but he was such a vibrant and unique person that after many long years I still vividly remember his gentle and caring personality.
I recall years ago one Halloween night when i met Archie outside of school as we had a mutual friend. I spent a lot of time with him that night and I will absolutely never forget him. In school we were for the most part strangers but such a night like that of talking to Archie was enough to solidify that memory for my entire life to come.

Archie, I really wish I could have had the pleasure of truly getting to know you better and I pray that you will rest in eternal peace.

Archie was one of the best friends i could have ever asked for, and always knew how to cheer everyone up. I met him first in kindergarten, and we had stayed friends up until the end. we didn’t talk as much near the end, but he was someone who I could talk to and it would feel as if no time had passed. He always had the best birthday party’s, and always knew how to get people together to have a good time. He would always manage to get me to play minecraft, even after I thought I had played my last game. He was a great friend, and made everyone happy. We will miss you Archie.

When we moved to Evanston, Archie and our daughter, Cheyenne, started a friendship when they were about 6 or 7 years old. They would have their play dates, and I remember always commenting to my husband on how sweet of a boy Archie was. We were young parents who were inexperienced with play dates, but
Loren and Joseph showed all of us so much care and compassion. I would like to send my deepest condolences to Loren, Joseph, and all of sweet Archie's family, and we will continue to keep you all in our hearts and minds.

I knew Archie since freshman year. The first time I met him i was so interested to find someone with the same interests as me. We were teamed up to create a restaurant and menu as a super fun competition within my class. i will never forget how smart, thoughtful, and kind Archie was. I went to elementary school with Archie and while we weren’t close friends, we often played at recess together. We would pretend we were warrior cats taking care of our clan. I distinctly remember Archie picking up my rainbow-tie-dye lunch box and swinging it into a tree, not knowing that it had a glass container in it. After the glass broke, we laughed about it because it was so funny. We also had the privilege of eating breakfast at Ted’s diner together courtesy of our fifth grade teacher. The last time I interacted with him was when I responded to a Snapchat story of his asking how he got the simpsons house Lego set and jokingly complaining about how expensive it was. Every interaction I had with Archie was a great one because he was such a kind person with a beautiful spirit. Every time I talked to him, he would respond in such a positive way and he was just a lovely person. May he rest in peace.

I first met Archie when I first started at ETHS. I went to the gymnastic camp at the beginning of the year and Archie and I just clicked. He was sweet, caring and funny person. He always knew how to make me smile even on my bad days. I was able to talk to him and make jokes that only he would find funny. He was an able to show what a true friend really was. I would honestly say that he was like a younger brother to me. Sweetest person in the whole world. I will already remember his enthusiasm, kindness and helpfulness during gymnastics and on my first day of school. I was very close to Archie and it breaks my heart that he’s gone. I will miss him tremendously and my heart goes out to his family, his friends and everyone else that had the pleasure of knowing him.

He will be truly missed in my book. I love you Archie. I hope you were able to find peace and happiness. Even though you are done, you will hold a special place in my heart. You will be remembered as an amazing person. I love you so much
