I am personally devastated by this news. I had just talked about David on Sunday with one of our mutual friends. I have known him for thirty years. We spent so many dinners talking politics ,our children as well as sports. I considered him one of my closest and oldest friends. I am sorry I had not spoken to him since he left for Arizona. I am absolutely certain however he was so happy to be in warm weather and not the brutal Chicago ones about which we always complained. I am greatly saddened by this news. It leaves a hole in my heart.

My heart goes out to David's family at this time of sadness. David had a special place in our lives. We go way back probably 50 years with his Dad first being my in-laws accountant and then David became ours..True and dear friends for many years...Fond tips to Ravinia...dinners...etc...He was a gentle, kind and caring man..My husband passed away 3 years ago this April and David was very supportive in helping me transition to my life solo. I was going to call him today and just saw the sad news. As an aside our birthdays were a day apart and same year so another bond. He will be missed . You were a treasure while on earth and now with your loved ones that went before you. RIP dear Friend. Susie LeClercq
