OBITUARY
Milton "Milt" Emold, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Born to immigrant parents, Milt carried with him a deep appreciation for hard work, resilience, and perseverance. He built a life defined by determination, working his way to become one of the top manufacturing wholesale representatives in the furniture industry—a career he dedicated himself to for over 50 years. His work ethic, sharp instincts, and natural ability to connect with people earned him lasting respect and relationships throughout his field.
Milt was a man who loved deeply, but quietly. His generosity was often unseen, as he supported causes close to his heart without seeking recognition. He showed his love through presence, loyalty, and the life he built for those around him.
He was the devoted husband of 59 years to his beloved wife, Karen (Steindler), his high school sweetheart. He was a proud father to Steven, Jennifer, and Jessica (Justin) Laven, and a loving grandfather to Jake Emold, Rachel Laven, Benny Emold, and Lillian Laven, who were the light of his life.
Milt found joy in the simple things. He was an avid golfer, a dedicated reader, and a lifelong "nosher" who appreciated good food and comfort. He loved being at home, where he felt most at peace. He also had a deep love for cars—spending time at dealerships, making deals, and embracing the thrill of the negotiation. At heart, he was always a salesman.
Milt will be remembered for his quiet strength, his steady presence, and the deep love he carried for his family. His legacy lives on in the values he passed down and the memories that will be cherished forever.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
