During the past few years, I was able to see Cousin Chuck during my trips to Chicago. I'm thankful for that. I will miss him and his big, loving nature. I will always love Cousin Chuck and hold a very special place in my heart for him. 💔

When my soon to be husband and I joined Temple Beth-El in 2002, Chuck and Joyce were one of the first couples we met. We would stay after services for coffee and dessert and visit until we got a look from the people who had to clean up.
Joyce died in 2017. Chuck started to look very thin. I began a series of visits to Chuck to be sure he was okay. I brought him cookies and food that he could freeze and we would have tea together. I learned his whole life story.
During the pandemic, I would slip the food I brought him through the rails of his balcony. Our chats were limited to the phone.
I now have wonderful memories of "Tea with Chuck".

I am so sorry to hear of Chuck's passing, he was a one of a kind. Chuck and Joyce were such good friends to my parents, and now the gang is all back together. Rest in peace and our hearts are with the family in this time of sorrow.
