Funeral Details

Izzy Gottlieb, WWII U.S. Navy Veteran, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Epstein) for 64 years. Precious, loving father of Paula Jo (Larry) Hyman and Bruce K. (Butch) Gottlieb. Cherished, proud Grandpa Meatball of Steven Aaron (Elitza) and Marissa (Eli) Amstadter. Devoted, caring son of the late Mania (nee Solganik) and Herman Alpher. Loyal, ever hopeful fan of the Chicago Cubs and season ticket holder for over 50 years of the Chicago Bears. Izzy was the life of the party, always laughing, joking and teasing the girls. He loved to hang out with “the boys” and reveled in the fun he had with them. As per Izzy’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 1-3, Temple Beth Israel, 3601 Dempster, Skokie, IL 60076.
