Loving mother of Barbara (Charles) Sommer. Proud grandmother of Jaclyn (Matthew) Gorman, Andy (Meryl) Sommer, and Heather (Andrew) Halper. Cherished great grandmother of Lexi Gorman, Bradley Sommer, Mia Sommer, Mason Sommer, Daniel Halper, Lila Halper, and Alex Halper. Dear sister of the late Marvin Weinberg. To keep everyone safe and healthy, the service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. What a wonderful service to honor a lovely lady. Elaine enjoyed her long life and served as a good example to her family. Her sweetness was passed down to her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her memory will stay alive through their stories.

Dear Barbara, Charlie and family,
We remember your Mom when we met her at her grandchild’s wedding. She was so friendly and excited to be there for the celebration. She would have been proud of the tribute you and the children gave her today.

Dear Barbara and family,
We were so sorry to hear that your mother/grandmother passed away this week. We remember her with so many positive feelings. She was so special to our family. We have 3 sons and our middle son Scott is special needs. He is 31 years old and your mother Elaine sent him a birthday present every year. She never forgot his birthday!!! Her thoughtful and generous gifts brought such joy to our son!! After we received the gift, rather than write a note, I preferred to call Elaine because she was such a pleasure to talk with - a true inspiration on how to live. We will miss her and remember her always.
