OBITUARY

Joan P. Moss nee Bloomenfeld
Beloved companion of Edward Harker Sr. Loving mother of David (Edita) Moss, Ruth Moss, Laura (Deborah) Moss, and Josh (Karen) Moss. Proud grandmother of Esther and Miriam Moss, Sarah Fucik, Natalie Fucik and Ayla (Garry) Damrau, Rachel and Dylan Batman and Sean Moss. Dear sister of the late Joseph (Frances) Bloomenfeld. Adoring aunt of Miriam and Julia Bloomenfeld. Fondly remembered by many family members and friends. Joan Moss was a woman of striking beauty, style and flair. She was possessed of extraordinary intelligence and keen perceptivity. She was a gifted artist: a distinguished photographer whose works are included in the permanent collections of many institutions. Her photographs were published internationally many times over. She was a loyal and loving friend. As a parent she was unique and gave much of lasting value. She was a wonderful, warm and doting grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her family, her friends and all those who came in regular contact with her. Rest in peace. To keep everyone safe and healthy, the chapel service and interment are private. To attend the funeral live stream, please visit our website. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/)

David, Ruth, Laura, and Josh, I am so, so sorry about the loss of your mother. Growing up, she was my larger-than-life Aunt Joan, the most glamorous person in the room; the only person I knew who was willing to go toe to toe with my father; and the mother to my cool American cousins. I always felt her presence in my life, called on her chutzpah when I needed some, and will continue to hold her close in my heart. Wishing you much comfort. Love, Julia
