OBITUARY
Elaine M. Weisz nee Katz (Minah bas Aaron HaKohen) was born January 8th, 1928, and peacefully left this world May 4th, 2024 at the age of 96. She is survived by her four children, Lee (Karen), Alan (Elaine) Keith (Andie) and Jan Somers (Mark), sister Della Robinson (Richard) and brother Lester Katz. She also leaves behind her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends who she touched with her kindness and grace. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years Edgar, her parents Aaron and Malvina Katz. Mom spent her life dedicated to family. Whether visiting her parents on the south side, going to "the farm" on Sundays to visit Edgar's family or having everyone to the house, the sound of laughter and children playing always filled the air. Her home was always open to anyone who did not have a place to be for a holiday. The small house they lived in for over 70 years always had beautiful flower gardens that she loved to tend, artwork and family photos. She was a special beautiful person both inside and out and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful care givers who took care of her in her final years. Services Monday, May 6th at 12 Noon at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd, (One block north of Lake Cook Road) in Buffalo Grove followed by internment at Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Jewish Charity of your choice will be appreciated. Arrangements by Chicago Jewish Funerals – Buffalo Grove Chapel, 847.229.8822, www.cjfinfo.com
