OBITUARY

Judith Rose Pitman Wasserman, died on Jan 13 at the age of 92. She is predeceased by her loving husband and best friend, Herbert, as well as her parents, sisters and her favorite son-in-law Edward Netter. Judy was a teacher, active in Jewish organizations, and an avid Scrabble, Bridge, Maj Jongg, and Words with Friends player! She is survived by her loving children Debbie Netter, Dan Wasserman (Mariella), and Amy Wasserman; beloved grandchildren Sam and Miriam Netter, Sophie Jian and Alexander Wasserman, and Rachel Wasserman, as well as her many great-grandchildren. Service Tuesday 12 PM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (One block north of Lake Cook Road) Buffalo Grove. Interment Private at Zion Gardens. Judy and I met within days of arriving at the Carrington at a Shabbat service and quickly became best friends. We both liked talking to people and and we found we had so much in common. .We both liked playing games and both being very competitive we laughed a lot. We ate meals together and kept adding another person to our table until we were 7 (most allowed). We ate at the same table every nite and we became the Table 34 ladies. We all miss her and cared about her.

What a lovely service in memory of dear Judy. I have fond memories of Alvin and I spending time with the cousins st happy times. I was always questioning the family tree as couldn’t remember whose side was who. Hopefully we will continue the cousin’s club and I will for certain see Amy and Sophie while in Scottsdale. Let’s always keep in touch.
