OBITUARY

Allan Rabinoff, 79, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024. His positive attitude and infectious enthusiasm for life were trademarks of his wonderful character. Allan excelled throughout his career in international business and trade. He enjoyed his travels to China and elsewhere across the globe. He was an avid fisherman who found peace and tranquility among many lakes along the U.S border with Canada and in his adopted home along Lake Chapala in Mexico. Allan is survived by his loving family, which includes his sister, Sandy Aronin, his brother Michael Rabinoff, and his nephews Jeff Aronin (Lisa), Kevin Aronin (Robyn) and Greg Aronin (Alana), six great-nieces and a great-nephew. He leaves behind a wide circle of friends and extended family who will remember his kind heart, wonderful insights, and zest for life. Allan’s life was a testament to the power of a positive outlook. He will be dearly missed. Service Sunday, July 7, 2024, 10 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (One block north of Lake Cook Road) Buffalo Grove. I had the privilege of meeting Allan in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. We both loved to travel and our favorite place was San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala on Lake Atitlan. We shared so many different experiences than most people do throughout the years. I had the pleasure of meeting his wonderful family one Thanksgiving. A family he was so proud of. I use to say I only had one true friend in my life but with Allan made two. . What a wonderful man Allan was. He will remain in my heart and also a void that can’t be filled. My condolences to his family..

Allan has been my close friend since I was discharged from service in 1966. We had many great times and adventures along life's travels. He was an intellect whom I enjoyed speaking with and sharing a long and eventful life. He will be greatly missed by me and his other close friends. May he rest in peace.

I wish to express my sincerest heartfelt condolences to the family on the passing
of Allan, a dear and loyal friend. I first met Allan in 1961 as a high school senior.
An outgoing adolescent, Allan was the one who introduced me to a circle of
friends and arranged a number of dates aware of my recent arrival to the U.S.
We attended the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee as well as graduate
school. Friendliness and living life to the fullest were traits that characterized
Allan's personality. We grieve his loss and will remember him fondly the rest
of my life. May his memory be a blessing z"l.
