Funeral Details

Cecelia L. Sterling nee Levine, age 84. Beloved daughter of the late Helen Zlatkin Dunitz and the late Max Levine and the late Jack Dunitz. Dear sister of the late Raymond Levine. Loving and loved mother of Aron (Gerri) Sterling, Evon (the late Tim) Suckow and the late Dena Sterling. Treasured grandmother of Paige, Kyle, Deanna, Elayna and Zahavah. Cecelia was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She attended and graduated from Sullivan High School in 1957. She earned her Bachelor of Accounting at National University of San Diego. Before retiring, she worked for DFAS Cleveland in the Departmental and Command Accounting Department for the Department of Defense. She was previously stationed at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard in Long Beach, California. For many years, she was active at Maine Township Jewish Congregation (MTJC) in Niles. She worked in the gift shop, as well as being an active member of the sisterhood. She served similar roles at Temple Judea in Vista, California, Shaarey Tikvah in Shaker Heights, Ohio and then at Olam Tikvah in Fairfax, Virginia. Cecelia enjoyed reading, music, watching television and movies along with visiting family and friends. She was an avid volunteer for many organizations throughout her lifetime, proudly serving as an election judge in four different states.
