Phil was my first cousin and probably the first friend I ever had. He was only 3 months older and we grew up together. When we were about 8 years old, we both had stamp collections, and when we wanted to get together, one of us would telephone and say "Let's do stamps!" And he would be driven to my house or I to his and we would trade. We've stayed in touch over these many years and I shall miss him.

Phil was a fellow "Windy City Jammer". He was a very good musician, he could sing in harmony and he was a natural guitar player. He sat next to me during jam sessions and would only need to look at written music to see what key we were in. Besides being a good musician, he had a great sense of humor. He will be missed.

Phil was a fellow Barbershop baritone. We enjoyed many evenings singing together. I also enjoyed our time together when we traveled to and from meetings. In his 63 years at barbershopping, he made many friends, who all miss him. He is now a part of the Chorus in Heaven.
