We were sorry to hear of Bud's passing. We were very fond of him. He was so personable and kind as well as a good negotiator. We have been married for 59 years and Bud was our salesman and, I believe store manager, when we purchased our first furniture. It was living room furniture, a bedroom set, kitchen table ad chairs, and a washer and dryer. We had $3,000 to spend so my husband kept trying to get Bud to come down in price. The last item we bought was a chair ,and my husband said he wouldn't buy any of it unless Bud took one dollar off the price of the chair. My husband prevailed and Bud was very gracious about it. Later, we bought a refrigerator and didn't dicker at all. We ran into Bud from time to time and always enjoyed his company. One incident really impressed my husband. We were in the electrical contracting business, and my husband was doing some work at Temple B'nai Israel. Here came Bud and his family walking through 8 inches of snow to get to services. Obviously, a very devout man. He will be missed by many.
