OBITUARY
Donald A. Goldstein
January 11, 1936 – November 22, 2024
Don was born and raised in Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood, youngest child of Louis and Bea Goldstein. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Gail, son Michael Goldstein, daughter Laurie Goldstein (Jon Marshall), brother David Goldstein (Barbara) and grandchildren Ashley Goldstein, Allison Goldstein, and Justin, Andrew and Zachary Marshall. Proceeded in death by his sister Doris Feingold and daughter Linda “Dalia” Goldstein. Don had a lengthy career at M. Ecker and Company, eventually becoming chairman of the board. It was one of the largest finished trade subcontractors in the U.S. at its peak, working on homes and many Chicago landmarks including the Marina Towers, Sears Tower, Hancock Tower, Thompson Center and Comiskey Park. He competed in 10 marathons around the country. He loved his family, the Cubs and cherry pie. Service Tuesday, 2PM at Makom Solel Lakeside, 1301 Clavey Road, Highland Park, IL. Interment private.
