OBITUARY

Donald C. Alexander, 88, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024. He is survived by his four children: David Alexander, Deborah (Dr. Robert) Ernst, Alaine Alexander, Gail (Dr. Jason) Weiss; and 11 grandchildren: Alexis (Matthew Roberts), Matthew and Jason Ernst; Jordan and Andrew (Julianna) Kluge; Eleanor, Daniella, Jonah and Seth Weiss; Loving sister of Anita Kay; many cousins, lifelong friends, and neighbors.

Don was the beloved husband of the late Marian Alexander nee Levine; dear son of the late Dolores nee Goodman and Harvey Alexander; and dear son-in-law of the late Gertrude nee Williams and Jacob Levine.

Born in Detroit on July 11, Don graduated from Mumford High School in 1954 and from Wayne State University with a BA in History. He also resided in Deerfield, Illinois and Parkland, Florida.

Private family graveside service on Sunday, July 21. I feel so fortunate that I had such close communication with my dear cousin Donny. In our daily emails he kept me apprised on a very wide range of interests that we both shared—- especially Baseball!

I will always cherish my close relationship with my cousin Donny.
I will always remember the good times we had when we were younger & our families visited ,even though we did not live in the same cities. There were numerous get togethers for great celebrations & holidays together.
