I knew Roberta through our work together on JCUA. Roberta was a completely kind, decent, and hard working woman. We were a better organization for her many years of committed and intelligent service. All my best thoughts are with her and you. Jeff

Roberta first vetted me for the JCUA board. I knew her as a sharp, dedicated, and passionate leader in community development and affordable housing, with immense capacity and energy for carrying out Tikkun Olam. My condolences are with your family in this time of transition and loss.

I knew Roberta through our membership of LAI. She was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She served on my Programming Committee and was a wealth of knowledge and insights into the practice of land economics. Always positive and thoughtful despite her recent health troubles. She will be missed. My thoughts are with your family and friends. Sincerely, Lynsey Sorrell

Our deepest condolences. Roberta was a fierce advocate for the disadvantaged and was an expert on low income housing development. She will be sorely missed.

My sincere and deepest sympathies to Roberta's family. Roberta and Herb have been friends and colleagues for nearly four decades, sharing many common interests. The fact that she is gone is a tremendous shock. I had spoken with her just a few days ago, asking if she would be attending the Lambda Alpha annual dinner. She said she would not be going; and I was disappointed that I wouldn't see her and have a chance to catch up on all the things that were of common interest. Conversations with Roberta always included the full gamut of planning/development happenings and insights, leavened with a little clever gossip. And, they were fun. I will miss my friend, Roberta; as I'm sure she will be missed by many others who enjoyed those same wide-ranging conversations and the geniality she brought to them.

My condolences to Herb and all of Roberta's family and loved ones. I met Roberta back in the '80s at Emanuel. Lovely, nice woman. So hospitable. The Nechins hosted events for Emanuel at their condo and were always so gracious. Over the years whenver I would see Roberta, she was always very warm and friendly. I know you all will painfully miss her. My deepest sympathy to you all.
