Barbara M. Rosen, age 87.

Beloved daughter of the late Evelyn (Sager) Rosen and the late Dr. Irving Rosen. Cherished sister of Sandra (the late Fred) Holubow, and the late Ancy Starkman. Devoted aunt to many nephews.

Barbara was a proud member of Mensa, an accomplished bridge player, and well-read.
She graduated high school at age 15, earning the distinction, at that time, of being one of the youngest graduates of the Chicago public schools. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin at the age of 19. She developed an expertise in the field of motor learning. A resident of NYC, and later South Carolina, she taught at both the high school and college levels, imparting to students her love of learning. Barbara loved and taught dance. She later entered the corporate world at a time when few women did, and she enjoyed working with others to get things done. She fostered a child. A foodie, tennis fan, and Broadway theatre-goer, Barbara was also someone who spoke up for causes in which she believed. Independent and fearless, Barbara was a force of nature, one who will be missed by many.

Graveside service Tuesday 12 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie, IL 60076.
