I met Ellen 37 years ago when she hired me (a forenic accountant) to work with her law firm in an accounting malpractice case. We won the case and I enjoyed every minute working with her and learning how the law interfaced with accounting and auditing standards. She was a gifted lawyer, outstanding teacher, and a wonderful human being. The legal profession lost one of its stars.

Dear Harry, Susie, and Jim,
I am Janet Klein's sister. I have many fond memories of your Mother. She and Janet were so close. I remember Janet coming up to be with her post back surgery. It is so devastating that they both had such short lives.
Your Mom had a distinctive voice that I can still hear. She was a generous and loving woman. My thoughts go out to you and your families. It's amazing that you all created 7 granddaughters. What a wonderful legacy.
Take care,
Karen
