Beloved husband of Alta Garcia Kassin. Loving father of Selene, Deborah (spouse Brett Elkins) Marcus (spouse Danielle) and David Kassin. Leo, you were a remarkable person who was loved and embraced by all. For 26 years of my life, I was blessed to know Leo and to be able to call him my great uncle. He and tia Alta were a perfect match together, and the memories I have of him growing up and to today will always be cherished. I’ll always love and miss him deeply and will cherish the good times we had together. Thank you for a great 26 years, uncle Leo.

Dear Kassins,
I send heartfelt wishes of comfort and sweet memories to all of you - I'm happy to have known Leo and Alta for many years first as neighbors and friends through our sons! Recently, it has been a privilege to be part of Leo's hematology team at U Chicago - we felt honored and privileged to participate in his care these last years and to be part of Alta and Leo's weekly lives as they bravely moved forward!

Our condolences to everyone. Leo was a friend and a person I looked up to when I was growing up. He had given me advice which I still use in my life. Our thoughts to the family at this time.
