Hi, my name is Angela, I met Steve last year. He was hosting a Bible study that I attended, it was my first interaction with our singles group. He was so welcoming and made me feel right at ease. He always had a big smile on his face and plenty of jokes. He was so full of life and will be missed greatly by everyone in the group. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for you. I will miss him terribly. I have been praying for all of you during this difficult time. Please accept my condolences and God Bless you all.

Hello, my name is April. I first met Steve about 10 years ago at the singles group at church. He made me feel welcome and asked me to sit by him. We soon became good friends. A few years later, he was looking for a room to rent and my husband and I had a room available. So he lived with us about 6 months. We got to know him pretty well. He was a great guy and I'm really going to miss chatting with him. Thank you to Steve's family for sharing him with us. Thank you also for having the funeral service available for us to be able to watch. We share in your grief. I will look forward to seeing Steve again in Heaven.

I met Steve when he attended SIU in Carbondale. He was like a big brother even though he was shorter than me. He was a very good guy and always giving of his time. I have not really kept up with what he was doing after he left SIU, but I am really going to miss him. Steve truly will be missed by me and my husband Chris. We are praying for family and friends.

I have known Steve for many years through singles groups in Phoenix. He joined me at a Sun Devil football game, and I got a kick out of him entertaining a little boy sitting in front of us. I think that the boy's Dad appreciated it, since it allowed him to watch the game while the boy was distracted. We also had a fun road trip to Las Vegas, and saw the Golden Knights play hockey. He insisted on driving because he said that I drive too slowly.
