OBITUARY
Seymour A. Levine, 79, Long Grove, IL passed away at home on October 24, 2026 with his best friend, his wife, at his side.
Seymour spent his young years growing up on the west side of Chicago. His family moved north in the early 1960's where he graduated from Sullivan High School in 1964.
As a Business Major, he graduated from the University of Illinois in 1968. He then joined with his father in a small plastic sales business. With his business skills and ambition, Seymour built Continental Plastics Company into a highly respected company in the plastic distribution industry. He took great pride in what he had accomplished in building his company.
While visiting a trade show in Chicago in 1970, he met Dorine Hanson who was working the trade show. They married in October 1970 and shortly after Dorine was recruited to "temporarily" help out at Continental Plastics. She is still working there today.
Seymour was an avid reader and collector of Science Fiction authors and enjoyed his vast library.
While in college, he took a YMCA Scuba Diving class and developed a love of diving and underwater photography which he enjoyed on many warm water trips. He also later became interested in the Outward Bound programs which challenge outdoor skills.
Seymour is survived by his wife, Dorine, nephew Steve (Kirsten) Muskal and their daughters Lili and Hannah, cousin Faith Karm and her children Matthew Karm and Jill (Nate) Karber and their children Auden and Simone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Pearl Levine, sisters Sybil Tillman and Bonni Levine.
