Years ago our family and the Blackmon’s
Used to celebrate Hanukkah together. We would always invite my mother and Vera to the dinner. I remember Vera as a warm and lovely person with a very kind heart.

The passing of Aunt Vera has left me with a hole in my heart that can not be filled. I will miss our phone calls where we would solve the worlds problems, evaluate movies, talk of theater, art exhibits, good books to read, and more! It was always an hour of pure laughter.!!! Sometimes we would not even know what we were laughing at , but it was always pure fun! She would tell me her thoughts about grandchildren and how when they are around you feel no pain! (it is really the truth )My Aunt was always generous and warm! I will always remember the family dinners and how she would welcome my husband and myself. She had the ability to make you feel special and a part of her family. She was a cherished friend and Aunt. I will always miss my favorite Aunt!

If I could describe Vera in one brief sentence it would be: She was like a well of unbounded positive regard, ever nourishing, ever supporting. I will miss everyone’s favorite aunt.
