Dear Scott, Rachel and Josh and all who love Marilyn,
I am holding you in my heart today. It’s been a long time since I connected with Marilyn but knowing her was a beautiful gift. I am honored for the years we had together at Stockton and in friendship.
May your memories and love sustain you through the grief.

Marilyn was a remarkable woman who changed lives. She brought the innovative Snoezelen Room, a therapeutic multi-sensory stimulation environment for children with autism and other developmental disabilities, to the Chicago schools.

Long before crowd-funding was invented, Marilyn knocked on doors and made phone calls to raise the money and build this unique space for children who don’t have many helpful interventions available to them.

We will always love Marilyn, present tense, because her great heart and spirit touched our lives, thus she lives on with us.

Our deepest sympathies to her beloved husband, Scott, her wonderful kids, Josh and Rachel and the beautiful family she adored.

Marilyn always had a smile and I have many fond memories of chatting at the kiddush luncheons with her when I was in middle and high school. She loved sharing about. Josh and Rachel’s tennis stories and successes. In many ways, that helped inspire me to work toward becoming a better tennis player; she really loved the game! She told us about the Windy City Classic where Aaron, Josh, and I got to participate as ball kids. That was a memory of a lifetime and I am so grateful to Marilyn for that. She also reminded me when Scott was just messing with me, “don’t worry, he’s kidding!!!” She was truly a special lady, and when I remember her I will definitely remember her warm beautiful smile. Josh , Rachel, and Scott- sending you all hugs and wishing you strength and comfort.
