Beloved husband of Jill for 49 wonderful years. Dear Son of the late Peter Hoffman and Estelle Levy. Loving father of D.J. (Emily) Hoffman and Jorie (Desiree) Cruz-Hoffman. Dear Brother of Larry (Judith) Hoffman. Devoted brother-in-law to Jeff (Miriam) Ader. Cherished grandfather of Palmer and Elle. Beloved uncle of Brad (Rebecca) Ader and Jessica (Jason) Golub.

Rick enjoyed a remarkable 60-year career that began in truck part sales and ultimately led to owning and building a successful business creating lasting relationships along the way. A proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a member of Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Rick maintained lifelong friendships with his fraternity brothers. Known for his engaging personality and wonderful sense of humor, he was a natural storyteller who could captivate a room with his many long stories. A die-hard white sox fan for many years, he always remained loyal to his team throughout every season. Above all, Rick treasured his family and all the time spent with those he loved most. His warmth, engaging personality, and great stories will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
