OBITUARY

Lenora Singer Schur
Beloved wife of Robert Schur z”l, loving mother of Larry (Elizabeth), Paul (Karen) and John (Wendy) Schur. Loving sister of Lois z’l (Sid z”l) Kahn. Cherished grandmother of Brittany, Jeremy, Bryan (Beth), Steven (Fran), Lauren (R.Jay), Kristen (Kevin), Michael (Felice), Rebecca (Erin), Catherine and Reid Schur. Proud great grandmother of 16. Lee received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in Evanston IL in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She practiced her skills at many Chicago area schools. She was an active member of the Temple Beth Israel family, being the first female to serve on the Executive Board as well as the first to become a Bat Mitzvah as an adult. Lee was also a bit of a political activist; she would make her voice heard on both the local and national levels.
