I am so sorry to hear of this news. I am Marilyn's second cousin. Marilyn's father and my grandfather were brothers. I remember how kind her Mom and Dad were to my family years ago. Marilyn's father Carl provided vegetables and plants to help feed us. The kids (meaning me and my siblings) got toys and great Jewish meals at their home. I can still remember Marilyn's mom Helen setting out a big spread of chopped liver, corned beef, pickles, and bagels. Later on, Carl & Helen along with Marilyn would treat us to fantastic dinners at a nice restaurant on Devon in Lincolnwood. I went to school with Marilyn's daughter Michelle at the University of Illinois in Champaign. My Uncle David was very close to Michelle and Steven. The kindness of Marilyn's family rubbed off on her and she was just as nice and thoughtful in every way. She even planned some of my travels back in the days before the internet. I am so grateful to have been part of her family and for the help she gave to our family in leaner days. I am very sad to hear of her passing and my thoughts go out to Michelle, Jeffrey, and the rest of the family.

I worked with MAV for many years. We became good friends , even though she could have been my Mother. ( Sometimes, I wished she was as I saw her relationship with Michelle and how special it was )
We shared countless lunches and a love for rock and roll. MAV loved good food and great music.
My best memory of MAV and I, she loved Aerosmith and we saw them many times. MAV always had to have " The Joe Side " One time, we had 2nd row on the Joe Perry side and we both had our binoculars out and had our eyes on Joe's chest. We were laughing so hard because we could see him thinking.. WHAT IS WITH those two! We had so many laughs and so many great times. She was ONE OF A KIND!!
I will NEVER ever forget MAV. She was my friend and I will miss her .

May God raise you up to the highest and may you rest in peace. I know we will meet again.
