Dennis was my great friend and mentor. He loved life and always wanted to experience it to its fullest. Weâ??ve had many hours of discussion of our dreams. We've shared many laughs a few tears along the way. He gave unconditional support and always wanted to know how he could make my life better. Dennis was a very, very special man. I am a better person for having had him in my life and will miss him very much. My prayers to Ann Louise and the entire family. He loved you all. I wish Dennis and you all Peace. Bill Skeens

Dennis, a leader of leaders. A great Man, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Mentor and Friend. Dennis dedicated his life to the success of others, and in our Vistage group, we overcame so many professional and personal obstacles with his coaching and guidance. You will be missed my friend, and I love you very much.

Long ago at a conference in San Diego I found Dennis up before breakfast also, we both being of earlier-rising time zones. Dennis suggested we go outside and watch a beautiful sunrise, and we did. Later Dennis told me he couldn't see colors. I still tear up at the memory. Dennis pointed me and many others at sunrises, and for many years I enjoyed our intimate video conferences in the Keepers of the Flame Climbing Group Veritas. I treasure the memories.

When I first heard of Dennis' passing, at some level I just couldn't believe it. In the years I knew him, he faced so many major health challenges. I always marvelled at how he dealt with every setback with an incredible equanimity. That characteristic always stood out for me.
To me, Dennis seemed completely selfless; he always seemed to be focussed on leaving the world in better shape than how he found it. As far as I can tell, by any measure, he easily achieved that goal.
I valued and loved his quiet intellect and his somewhat sly sense of humour. I was totally in awe of his courage and fortitude. I remember often asking myself: could I be as strong as Dennis? And then I quietly would pray that I would never be challenged as he was.
He was and always will be, an exemplar for me on living a meaningful life.
I shall miss him greatly.
My thoughts are with his wife and family at this difficult time,
Pete

Rest In Peace Dennis. I was privileged to know you, AnnLouise and your kids. 30 Years ago you told me to go ahead and plant a garden in front of your home. I was so delighted to plant this garden every year since. I just did what I thought was beautiful and never got a complaint. You weâ??re so delightful to do work for. I wish you peace and rest and to your family as well. You will be missed.

I was fortunate to get to know Dennis through working with him and through The Networking Group. I learned a great deal from him in my observations. I observed a great analytical mind, a creative thinker, a man of kindness and compassion, and I always marveled at his witty sense of humor. Each time Dennis was met with yet another health issue, he made adjustments and forged forward. Even when there were adversities to deal with, Dennis was direct and to the point, unwavering in his expectations, and always tossed in some of that humor to keep things pleasant.

I will always remember him and miss him very much. I offer my sincerest heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
