OBITUARY

David Adam Siegel, age 39, beloved son of Jan and Ron Siegel, loving brother of Jaclyn Siegel, dear nephew of Sue Nadel, Marvin (Rachel) Siegel and Steven (Nancy) Siegel, devoted grandson of the late Roy and the late Carol Nadel, and the late William and the late Dorothy Siegel, fond cousin of Ross (Lauren) Siegel and Adam (Samantha) Siegel. David was blessed with many wonderful friends from Glenbrook North High School and Kalamazoo College. David bravely fought the challenges of cancer for 16 months. He embraced his life as a journey traveling internationally as an artist, writer, teacher, coach, volleyball player, and a co-leader of International Study Abroad Programs for college students. To celebrate David’s life, his family has established the David A. Siegel Memorial Scholarship Fund. This annual grant seeks to award Glenbrook North High School art students the opportunity to further their education and personal journey in the world of art. Contributions may be made to the David A. Siegel Memorial Scholarship Fund website: www.gofundme.com/david-a-siegel. The service and shiva were private. The family prefers contact through the website or by email. Arrangements by Chicago Jewish Funerals - Skokie Chapel, 847.229.8822, www.cjfinfo.com.

Dear Jan and Ron
Scott and I are so sad to learn of David’s passing and for your grief and loss.
We read about what he has accomplished in his too shortened life, but it was amazing.

Our thoughts are with you and your family

Dear Ron and Jan, my sincere condolences to you and your family. Ron we go back a long way and I’m so sorry the unthinkable happened to you. I remember David as a year behind my son at GBN and Wood Oaks and playing ball from the little league on up. I just want you and your Jan to know the Chalmers family cares and feels for you. Be well old friend, Dennis and Natalie Chalmers.
