Mr. Gordon Haworth
Gordon R. Haworth beloved husband of Barbara Buchstane Haworth. Loving father of Robin (Sally) Haworth, Susan (Jeffrey) Orloff, Steven (Janna) Haworth, Mark (Ginger) Haworth, Jill (Steve) Hayes, Graham Haworth, Amanda (Alexander) Blieden. Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Adored uncle of eight nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
He was a dear friend to all who met him and loved to tell the stories of his extraordinary life. He spent his career in the mining industry and built a successful company engaged in mining various minerals and coal, oil and gas production, and environmental services. He was one of the world's leading authorities on energy and mineral resources and was often consulted on matters of strategy and process. Born in England, he first came to the US to attend graduate school at Columbia University in New York. While he lived all over the world, the largest concentrations of time were in Chicago (27 years) and La Jolla, California (20 years). His family was his passion and he lived life to the fullest extent. He will be terribly missed by all who knew him.
