Dear Melissa, I cherished your friendship more than I can say. I have a lot of beautiful memories that will always be with me: your gorgeous wedding, your witty sense of humor, your love of life. You made a difference in the world with your generous heart and touched many lives so graciously and profoundly. You are much loved and will be missed forever.

It is impossible to know how to say goodbye to that one friend who is like a sister, and has been through all of the good and bad times with you. Melissa not only was my dear friend, but meant so much to many others. She was a just a good person, the best. Melissa had a way of disarming people with her generosity, patience, and love. She was genuine, brilliant and REALLY funny- so funny we would often not be able to speak from laughing so hard! Max and Caleb were her compass - she loved them with all of her big, giant heart. Melissa, your fight was long and difficult, but you met it with tremendous grace and remarkably few complaints- it would have been completely fine if you complained more, but that was not your style. Your positivity came through with how you approached people and your own challenges. You left behind so much for love for everyone to carry with them. Until we meet again dear friend. Love, Julie

Words can not express our deep and dear friendship and how much you meant to me. These last few days have been tough. We shared so many things together including bar/ bat mitzvahs, your wedding, holidays. birthdays. The good times and the bad. Watching you have chemo was the hardest part, but you fought your strongest battle. Your were and still are one in a million. You took care of everyone. Now your being taken care of. I love you my friend and I know when I look at the sky I am seeing you - the brightest and biggest star shining down and watching and protecting everyone. I will always, always grant your biggest wishes Making sure Caleb and Max are taken care of and helping them thru life just as you would have.

Melissa was a true and constant friend for many years, and Iâ??ll miss her terribly. She was generous in all the ways it was possible to be, especially with her time and attentionâ??she was always ready to talk and listen, and had a talent for making people feel heard. As a friend, I got to witness her fierce devotion to all of her loved ones, and especially to Caleb and Max, who filled her heart with joy and pride. Not a conversation went by that she didn't express that. My family and I send loving condolences to you all.

You are the most kindest thoughtful amazing woman I have ever met. You are a great friend and listener. You cared for me Leah and Faith just like we were blood. I always told Leah and Faith you are like a second mom. I cherished our time together. I loved our convos and just being around you felt like comfort. Thank you for everything you have done and most importantly thank you for being a great friend. We love you so much.
